Around the lush and green surroundings of the Harrow-on-the-Hill Golf Course lies another perfect breakfast place – especially to those who just came from a night shift and are just thinking of a place to unwind and eat before they hit the sack.
Sarah’s Cafe in Harrow is probably not something new to the neighbours. The location is definitely a little bit out from the ordinary. At first glance from the outside, one would not thought that its a cafe. My first impression was that it looked like a car repair shop. Thanks to the signs!
The cafe does not only serve breakfast as they are open from 9 to 5. Every Sunday, they encourage you to try their traditional Sunday roast which is quite evident from their captivating outdoor signboards, and exactly today, I had my dose of Sarah’s Cafe for the first time. My friend invited me for breakfast and I think there’s also no better way to have another random catch-up by starting the weekend right with some appetising “petit dejeuner” on a Saturday morning.
Living in Britain for years had made me crave for the American meal thus I went for their American breakfast. This consisted of syrup filled pancakes, fried eggs, hash brown and bacon. In addition to this, I also tried their irresistible hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows on top. There’s nothing to complain really with our orders and the price that we paid was also acceptable. The staff was accommodating, the chairs were moderately comfortable and the ambiance was a little bit relaxed. The place was not fully occupied however it went to a point wherein there were a lot of customers coming in almost at the same time, but that didn’t really bother us.
At Sarah’s Cafe, I’m sure there’s still really more to explore and I’m glad to have tried a piece of it today (after 6 years of living in the area). Whether it be gloomy or sunny, one should definitely check this out and turn their minutes to moments even with just a cup in hand.
